This is a classic P.A.F set modeled after the legendary tones of 1959. Very articulate with great pick sensitivity, AlNiCo-IV magnets give this set a flatter EQ so you could hear what your guitar actually sounds like. Very rich, woody tone, especially in the middle position.

    Custom Scriptures

Posted by Alex G. on May 20th 2019

Owned my 1987 Gibson Les Paul Custom lite for over a decade - (the previous owner swapped out the original pickups for some dirty dimaurzios so I swapped to Neck pickup from a Gibson SG studio and Bridge an EMG 81) played through an Orange OR120 - Apart from wanting to rewire the single-coil tap back up, I've long suffered from muddy mids. ) so I wanted a change!

Bought a set of the scriptures: one laser engraved, and one black pearl inlay.

Mark was friendly and accommodating to my custom request, and even emailed back and forth with me to find the perfect design. They look absolutely gorgeous.

And they sound even better! I'm really enjoying playing my smooth cleans on single coil in the middle setting, and get that strong bite from the bridge humbucker for solo'd leads. On all settings there is nice clarity and balance of the EQ. I no longer have use for my eq pedal. These pickups are not only stunning to look at, but sound just as sexy as they look...... vintage gold!

Good packaging. Quality finish and build with nice touches with the engravings which denote Bridge and Neck pick ups. Lovely tone when played.
